Noack Laboratorien now employs more than 70 staff members, among these are 20 mainly biological and chemical scientists. At Noack Laboratorien, the hierarchical structures are flat as well as cross-linked and we provide professional training for laboratory assistants. CEO

Since February 2016, Dr. Christian Maeß is the new owner and CEO of Noack Laboratorien.

He was born on 07.08.1967 in Hannover and studied chemistry at the universities of Münster, Glasgow and Hannover. Additionally, besides his chemistry major, he visited lectures of philosophy and economy. Later on he did his PhD in Bremen, focusing on marine research. After finishing his PhD, he dedicated himself to his three children’s childcare together with his wife for several years.

For twelve years Dr. Maeß has headed a chemical laboratory. In Feburary 2016 he took over the DR.U.NOACK-LABORATORIEN and is focussing on human resources, workflow optimization and innovation.

Aside of his position as CEO at Noack, Dr. Maeß heads the Union of German Research Laboratories (Verband Deutscher Untersuchungslaboratorien e. V.), based in Hannover. In addition he is a member of the „8. Niedersächsische Regierungskommission Nachhaltige Chemikalienpolitik“ (8. Lower Saxon government committee for sustainable chemical politics), including the subgroup “REACh review”. He participates in the GDCh (German Society of Chemists) ecotoxicology group.

Since 2018 he is holding lectures on chemical regulations at the Leibniz Universität Hannover.

And since September 2018, Dr. Maeß is part of of the industry council board for Smart Biotecs of the TU Braunschweig and the Leibniz Universität Hannover.
